one step away
Ash of the Fire Tyrone shook his small form. His bright eyes looked around, seeking out familiar terrain. His small ears flicked back and forth as his bi-coloured coat flashed in the sunlight. He hadn't been here for a while and nothing was familiar for him. He'd moved around so much in his small life, just followed his mother. It wasn't right, he needed a home until he was old enough for his own. The young painted colt shook his small head, mane flopping over his neck. His mane was straggly, short and unneat. He'd caught it on several occasions, causing it all to become different lengths. His tail was in better shape: short yet all one length.
The young colt kicked up his heels, hooves clicking together as he landed on the soft sand. He couldn't remember if he knew his place, but it was the sea, and he knew the sea. The paint put his head down and bolted. His little muscles bunched up as he pushed off from a stand still to flat out gallop across the sand. He kicked up a sheet of yellow dust behind him, his small tail fluttering out behind him. He threw up his head in a joyful whinny that carried across the shorelines as his hooves splashed into the water. Tyrone half reared, splashing about in the waters. He jumped as the wave broke on him, splashing back down, his ears pricked forward. Oh he was a happy colt. Tired, hungry and lonely, but for now he was happy.

`Autumn raised her dome, finishing the strands of grass in which was still half-way hanging out of her mouth. the sun was still bright as if the time of day was only about noon. she smiled as the emeralds were digested, feeling the warmth of the sun soaking into her albino frame. her banner danced freely in the relaxing breeze along with her tassel until the wind died out. but near the shoreline an interruption of the serene melody of crashing waves. wondering what the noise could possibly be, she alerted her audettes toward the target, stepping toward the beach until her hooves touched the sand. her eyes seemed in shock as a lonesome mutli-coloured colt was prancing alongside the waters by himself. she arched her boa, walking down to the shoreline, where the foamy waves met the edges of the beige sand. she looked at the little heir in which had an unknown pedigree to her, and smiled. "hey there little one, where are your parents?" she asked curiously, her facial expressions assuring him that she was kind and harmless.
